HP-UX, 3.4.10 to 4.1
Hi, we are using an HP9000 with HPUX 11.0 and I am looking for the latest version of Informix Products. It's a little bit confuse which version to to use. Perhaps for Client SDK there at two version available 2.70.HC1R1-1 32-bit 2.70.FC1-1 64-bit but wich is the better choice ? We'll use IIF.2000 as Database.

Note that most of the software is 32 bit, and it is all up-to-date with the latest version. Agent is the only piece of software that could be regarded as a beta, I understand PC's a bit better than the average user, so when the odd problem crops up I am often able to solve it and keep on plugging along.

P5 debate has been discussed ad infinitum but I am still somewhat confused. Think about it a bit longer. No I am not talking about pigging out Alan. I don't feel hungry, so I don't need to eat a lot, remember? And I feel fine eating 200 to 500 calories once a day. Thus why do that 3 times a day when once a day works better? I understand some (okay most) people feel ill if they eat only

I am worndering what advantages would there to be in buying it. I don't do windows programming. So.. just wondering.. bluewolf In addition to the good info I like the BP7 IDE's and tools, but on a 32 system they are somewhat 'out of date', of course. Currently I am using a G400 clocked to MAX speed and I do run UT at 1024x768 32bit and it is just as fast as my V3 was, I only run in 32bit because on the G400 32bit looks better than 16bit and there is only a 1-3 FPS difference, the V3 in 16bit does, however, look better than the Matrox in 32 bit in UT, not a lot,

Better to use 32-bit or 64-bit Windows with MOSS 2007?
At some stage brute force *does* win out over better design. Always will. PowerPC processors are much more efficient than x86 processors. Somewhat more. The generally accepted figure seems to be about 25% - 30% faster at the same clock speed. x86 chips compute information in 32 bit chunks only.

timedemo results?? am i close to where i should be??
Shorter bursts are less efficient, which implies that 64bit PCI transfers can be not much better than 32bit with sustained bursts, which is my point. You could easily have a 64-bit pci card that was slower than (or the same as) a 32-bit one due to this factor. Im not arguing that it doesnt work, only that its not a

Both can be configured with Vista Home Premium 32-bit, but for Ultimate they only offer the 64-bit (I am shying away from 64-bit for the reasons you gave). Also, does 64-bit processing require a better power supply. Your thoughts and expertise will be greatly appreciated. Hi, Judith, What model HP computer are

Isn't that 32-bit clean, too ? I don't think so - I think it's ROMs are pretty much the same as the decidedly non 32-bit clean Mac Portable. Actually, both machines have 32-bit clean ROMs. The problem is that Mac OS 7.6.x requires a '030 (with 32-bit clean ROMs) or better. That leaves the LC ('020) and the

I had the color settings and the texture settings and the color depth to 16-bit since my voodoo 3 can not support 32 bit color. I have heard that since 32 bits is the "native" size for our processors, 32-bit Longs are slightly more efficient than 16-bit Integers. This seems logical. However, I seem to recall reading some articles (in VBPJ?) about performance and VB performed slightly better when dealing with Integers.
